Description

Christine established her reputation as one of Europe's finest interpreters of French song with her smash-hit Piaf. A decade later she returns with No Regrets and looks back on her remarkable journey with a fresh take on this self-penned work. At the heart of the story is a young Glasgow girl, reluctant in school French until she heard 'that song'. Her journey is interwoven with Edith Piaf's life and those incredible songs. Christine's Piaf performances have become 'the stuff of Fringe legend' (BroadwayBaby.com). The Paris icon and the Glasgow girl.

A wonderful story about how she discovered Edith Piaf and fell in love with her story and songs! Christine has an incredible voice and her rendition of "La vie en rose" and "No regrets" were moving and inspiring. 5/5 and highly recommended!

The wonderful Christine Bovill at the EICC at the Edinburgh Fringe until 10th Aug ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another wonderful evening of insights, laughter and life-embodying performances of some of Edith Piaf greatest songs.
Christine's smoky, dusky, honey-dewed vocals inhabit the world of Piaf in the most magical way - combining tragedy, passion and true love in an inspiring and triumphant way - GO!
