It’s often understood you don’t post a review if you can’t be positive. So I can’t go further with this review it was my least favourite of all the shows I saw ( out of more than 40)

I left this show with even more respect for Miriam Margolyes as an actor. The way she embodied such a broad variety of characters was astonishing. She is a thoroughly likeable and entertaining presence onstage and I could easily have watched her for longer. Personally, I'd have preferred more of the Dickens part and less of the Q&A part, but I appreciate that lots of people love her for her funny stories (which were predictably hilarious!)

Expected to have a great time and wasn’t disappointed. What a wonderful show. Long may she continue to perform her frank, thoughtful and outrageous shows. Love her.

Miriam’s characterisation is fabulous and her passion for Dickens is infectious. She’s a great talent.

My love of Dickens and my love of Miriam intertwined in this most magical and heartwarming way. What an amazing, thought provoking, wonderful lady who is so humble and unaware of just how marvellous and how much of a treasure she is to us all.

What’s not to like about Miriam …talented, funny, spontaneous, a national treasure .

Miriam's knowledge and passion for Dickens is just as entertaining and joy giving as her brilliant performances and characterisation!
