Description

One of Scotland’s last tanner-ba’ players whose football career took him from Clyde to Chelsea, Everton, Tranmere, Kilmarnock and Motherwell, with 28 Scotland caps along the way. A broadcaster with BBC Five Live, an author, and a DJ, Nevin speaks about the ups and downs of a footballer’s life and the challenges of hanging up his boots. He campaigns against racism and homophobia, and music is central to Nevin’s life. Author of The Accidental Footballer: A Memoir; Football and How to Survive It, and co-wrote In Ma Head, Son, with psychologist Dr George Sik.

General venue access

  • Accessible entry: Stand 3 is accessible from the pavement with steps leading to a courtyard. The venue is situated in the basement part of the building. There are 15 steps in total with a 90 degree turn on a stone staircase with handrails. Once inside the Stand 3 has a further 3 steps indoors before leading to the main space. Staff are always available to assist, however we cannot help to carry customers.
  • Wheelchair access type: Not fully wheelchair accessible

  • Stairs: 11- 20
    Number of stairs is provided as guidance and is not in addition to any wheelchair access type (lift/ramp etc) stated above.

How and when to make an access booking

Our access tickets service is available to anyone who:

  • Would like to book specific accessibility services, e.g. a hearing loop, audio description headsets, captioning units, seating in relation to the location of the BSL interpreter
  • Requires extra assistance when at a venue
  • Has specific seating requirements
  • Is a wheelchair user
  • Requires a complimentary personal assistant ticket to attend a performance
