Description
Mayor of Greater Manchester since 2017, Andy’s priorities include building a London-style integrated transport system, ending rough sleeping, transforming Greater Manchester into one of the greenest city regions in Europe and a great place to grow up, get on, and grow old. MP for Leigh from 2001-17 he held Ministerial positions at the Home Office, Health, Treasury, and Culture, Media and Sport. In opposition, Andy held Shadow Secretary posts for Education, Health and the Home Office. General venue access
- Accessible entry: There is a temporary ramp over the 8 steep stone steps from street level to the venue foyer. The ramp has a small turning circle of 1m and therefore unfortunately is not suitable for an electric wheelchair user. Once inside the venue foyer, stall seating is accessible without any further assistance. Staff are happy to assist where possible and are unable to assist electric wheelchair users.
