Description

When a grieving Olivia is suddenly left alone in her apartment, her only companion is a painting she stole in a desperate demonstration of love for her partner. Well, the painting and – unexpectedly – the ghost of the man who painted it: Vincent van Gogh. As she does her best to hide the stolen art from a suspecting gallery owner, her girlfriend’s family implore her to hide the true nature of their relationship. Oh! And there’s a bird trapped in the house. What else can she do but throw Vince a party?

Came after the Fringe Review wrote it up. Loved this show- deeply moving, funny performances, clever conceit. Can be so difficult to pull off those dramatic beats without being overwrought but it didn’t drag at all, would rec!

This was such a beautiful start to my morning. It feels set-up so you not only laugh with the cast, but you also cry as you go through the different stages of grief. A beautiful show that deserves to have the spotlight (and bring tissues!)

Absolutely beautiful performance. The story was mesmerizing and the set intricately beautiful while maintaining a minimalistic air that aided move the story forward. The hour spent was one of joy, sadness and catharsis. Thank you for allowing me to experience a story of love, art, and humanity. I left with tears of joy.

This is a surreal, dark drama as Olivia shares her feelings of loss, trapped like a bird in a cage.
