Description

When a grieving Olivia is suddenly left alone in her apartment, her only companion is a painting she stole in a desperate demonstration of love for her partner. Well, the painting and – unexpectedly – the ghost of the man who painted it: Vincent van Gogh. As she does her best to hide the stolen art from a suspecting gallery owner, her girlfriend’s family implore her to hide the true nature of their relationship. Oh! And there’s a bird trapped in the house. What else can she do but throw Vince a party?

It's small theatre like this that make me want to come back to the Fringe each year. Just brilliant.

This is a gem of a play, the story is unusual, the acting is excellent, the staging is clever, and there's humour and emotion in abundance.

Absolutely loved this play!! Deftly drawn and seamlessly acted, there isn’t a moment when you, as an audience member, are not pulled into this intimate portrait of loss, longing, and friendship. Plenty of tears and plenty of laughs had me leaving the theatre completely engaged with the story and asking one question…when can I see it again?!?!

An excellently executed piece of drama from a beautifully cohesive group, this show absolutely deserved its 5 star review from The Stage. This had humour, pathos, insight, energy and direction. The story draws you in, you will do well to leave with a dry eye, there is never a moment you aren't transfixed to the cast, and it will stay in your thoughts after. You will also fall in love with Vincent - I feel compelled to go and buy one of his prints now!

It is difficult to find a beautiful piece of writing centring round the impossible topic of grief. Ever Yours manages to shoulder it with grace, a burst of energy and humour. Our entire group left the theatre, teary-eyed and inspired to create more art. A true hidden Fringe gem. The cast deserves a full house every day.

Ever thought of what it would be like to chill with Vincent, at the time when you most needed, even if you don't know it yet. Well come on over and shed a tear for a story of love and acceptance.

Brilliant. A unique and original story fantastically written, great acting, super onstage chemistry between the cast members, very creative staging, and super natural dialog flow. I don't like to gush, but I can't find a single criticism or negative thing to say about this one. So funny I laughed out loud again and again, and so poignant and human that I left the theater, along with all the rest of our company's members, with tears in my eyes. Go see this one for sure! It's the best thing I've seen at the Fringe this week. A truly superior piece of work.
