Description
Are intrusive thoughts funny? No… but also, yes. This debut hour-long show from Glaswegian comedian Amanda Dwyer is an interesting look into Amanda’s life-long struggles with OCD, anxiety and depression. Having been through gruelling exposure therapy and an impossible journey of self-acceptance, Amanda is offering an humorous insight into the fragile mind of a mentally ill girl, who just wants to be liked by everyone she’s ever met. 'A mentally unstable superstar in the making' (Tom Stade). Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Amanda's humour is dry, dark, raw, brave, Glaswegian, but above all, just very very funny. If you've ever been scared to tell people about your darkest and deepest intrusive thoughts, come along to this show and realise that - you are not alone. Hilarious, heart warming, therapeutic. And I cannot emphasise this enough - drier than a desert. For people who think Jack Dee is too happy.
