Description

Being a woman! Being over 40! Sex! Kath has found the solution to these problems. Yoga! Based on three Australian self-help books from the 1960s. Are they out of date? No! Kath has found helpful advice and practical exercises to help you 'stay slim for your husband,' 'kill your wrinkles' and save your mediocre marriage. You don't have to be a woman over 40 or even have to be sexual. Watch as Kath delves into the Kama Sutra, discovers what 'the four types of women' smell of and almost does some yoga.

The excerpts from the yoga self-help books referenced are indeed funny though I’m a bit confused by the reviews after seeing the show, but I guess the Fringe is about sometimes seeing something that is quite different... the art of comedy is subjective after all.

Very glad that I got to see this excellent, funny, engaging show. Kath keeps you gripped and curious the entire time, leaving you with lots to think about. She's also got some pretty impressive yoga skills too! Highly recommend getting your ticket for this one ASAP!

Very, very funny! I’ve seen it 3 times and I fully intend to see it again. An absolutely brilliant, laugh-filled show. Do not miss!

Absolutely hilarious character comedy with a charming and fearless performer at the helm. I was constantly reminded of the sharp, quirky wit and vicious undercurrents of Kath and Kim, and the audience was fully pulled into the show to become part of the 'slexture' (best I could come up with when challenged!). Loved every second, a real five star performance.

Excellent work. We, the audience, are in an informal yoga studio.
We question yoga books of the past and see how much has changed in our world. I'd actually really recommend this show for men, as much as (the obvious appeal to) women. It's never preachy and always funny.

Kathryn's one-woman show is a highly entertaining showcase of comedic hilarity - from the hilarious observations and anecdotes she penned to the engaging onstage persona created under the nuanced and clever direction of Dan Mersch. Yes, there might be some audience interaction, but fear not... the protagonist is welcoming and endearing. Grab some friends and get your tickets now! *MOP!*

I’ve wanted to see Yoga & Sex…. For women (over 40) for absolutely ages and I’m so happy I finally got to watch this hilarious show!

Kathryn is instantly likeable as the enthusiastic Aussie Yoga Instructor with punchlines coming thick and fast from the get go. Her comic timing is spot on and the facial expressions had me howling! The interaction with the audience went down a treat and there was tons of laughter throughout. There is a little bit of audience participation which Kathryn does effortlessly and these moments really added to comedy of the show. I don’t want to say too much to give the story away but I hand on heart would recommend this show to everyone. There was a very varied age range in the audience and everyone was having a blast. SEE THIS SHOW!!! Kathryn Hayward is an extremely funny woman.

A funny talented lady! An original show, not just for women over 40. In fact, men will enjoy it just as much, and maybe learn a thing or two...

Catherine Amor 31 days ago

Energetic and entertaining. At its best when riffing on the boggling advice from 1960s yoga books for women. Be warned, the audience participation is intense but fun!

Great fun! Talented actress with wonderful comedic timing. Was thoroughly entertained as she navigated the insights from 1960s Australian yoga "gurus", all the way to online dating disasters. Definitely worth the hour to go and see this show.

Whether you're a sprightly young thing or a seasoned veteran of life's many twists and turns, this show has something for everyone. It's a rollicking good time that'll leave you gasping for breath - from laughter, not exercise, thank heavens.

Haywood never labours the point in this crisp one-woman piece.
