Quite an uncomfortable experience. Many of the sketches I didn't find funny, and performances had a lot of potential but lacked polish. Audience seemed to love it though so perhaps a better experience if you are a medical student or employee of the NHS.

As humanities students with about 3 science GCSE’s between us we were concerned that perhaps the humour of this medically themed sketch show would go over our heads. But how wrong we were. Refreshingly topical, impressively fast paced and just genuinely very funny, we had a brilliant time! No spoilers but the cha cha slide one? Inspired. The brain cancer one? Side splitting. (apologies, like I said, the concerning lack of scientific knowledge means we cannot remember the proper term for the life of us). Doctors Without Borders was a particular highlight. Definitely recommend for a very enjoyable (and enlightening) evening! Bonus points because apparently they are REAL doctors?!

I saw this on opening night and was impressed. The sketches were well timed and witty and the audience received it really well. Not for the younger audience however, I was sat beside a young girl who seemed very confused! 100% worth catching if you work in the medical field/study

This is the best medical student review I have seen at the Fringe in 34 years. Funny, fast-paced, slick, insightful and quite risqué in parts, it landed some decent political blows as well as laugh out loud recurring gags (Doctors Without Borders/Boundaries etc being my favourite). Highly recommended *****

Willy Wonka and The Doctor Factory is a wonkaful blast of fast paced sketch comedy and music! Guess it’s true, laughter really is the best medicine :) Praise to the cast, crew, and band! Hope they come back next year

As an NHS doctor and avid comedy go-er I loved this clever and fast-paced sketch show.

From unique commentaries on the state of our health service (from those about to enter it) to positively absurd slap-stick within a clinical scenario, the show is hilarious throughout.

For those fortunate enough to not be involved in the medical world, you will be tapping your feet along to the multiple musical parodies, performed by the very talented band and singers.

It is a fantastic example of an unfortunately under-represented art form at the fringe - The Medical Revue - and a must see for medical professionals and service users alike!

I have been coming to see St George's Revue perform at the Fringe for a good few years now and have loved them every time. If you want a show that really shows what the Fringe (and NHS!) is all about then this is your bet. This year's show is especially stand-out compared to the doom and gloom of other medical-based shows at the Fringe. With silly musical dittys, the odd dick joke, smart medical advice, and tongue in cheek political commentry - these healthcare students find a way to make you laugh whilst you cry all the way through!

Mmmm…. An interesting show. Can’t say I have enjoyed it. I think if you are not a med student or working for the NHS or aren’t a bit giddy from 2-3 Proseccos, this show does not work…. It’s a run through different little sketches which aren’t particularly funny so overall only a 2 out of 10 from me. Sorry
