Description

To hell with anger management! Malvolio was done notorious wrong... notorious wrong, and swore to be revenged on the 'whole pack of them'. Three months after the events of Twelfth Night he relates, with a great deal of satisfaction, how skilfully he has kept his word. In this new production from Tortive Theatre, Robin Leetham takes to the stage as one of literature's best-loved/loathed characters as he demonstrates that he who laughs last, laughs longest. From the team that brought you the five-star Shakespeare's Fool, Tortive return with another spectacular one-man hit show.

The play was great, the acting was even better. This was a masterclass of a one-man show.

I came to this show not really knowing what to expect, and I wasn't disappointed. This was an entirely original take on a well-known Shakespearean character. It was a true rollercoaster ride - comedy, pathos and a truly affecting ending. An excellent solo performance!

One of Shakespeare's many skills was the ability to craft smart villains. At the end of Twelfth Night, after been made the butt of some cruel jokes and their aftermath, Malvolio promises revenge.

This one-man show returns to the setting a few months later. Malvolio, played to perfection, explains the story from his perspective and whether or how revenge was achieved. The writing is smart and delivered in a riveting style.

You won't see anything like this anywhere but at the Fringe. It's a short play and moves quickly. Come see it to see excellent writing and acting at its best.

Come enjoy Robin Leetham's consummate performance of Malvolio as he revels in his wrath, post Twelfth Night. Tortive very smartly explores the what ifs after Shakespeare's well-known works. This actor knows his way around language and his physicality is superb as well. Suggest you visit.

I hadn't read or seen Twelth Night in many years so I couldn't quite remember all the details. Rob's Malvolio is gripping, funny, charming and full of rage; artfully flitting between the various characters and drawing the audience in to his world. Definitely recommend!

Returning fringe performer Rob Leetham delivers a master class in acting. His Malvolio is formidable, and he will have his revenge on the whole pack of them. Rob also morphs into other characters from Twelfth Night and all he needs is his talent and a shawl. Well worth a watch!

Always admire and enjoy the special skill and talent involved in a one man show. This was no exception as Robin Leetham weaved his tale of conceit, deceit and revenge as he slowly clawed his way to the top of the tree , leaving a few bodies in the cupboards along the way.

An energetic and remarkable performance by Robin Leetham supported by seamless direction and a fast paced script. Watching Robin flick from all consuming rage to possessed refinement in the blink of an eye is pure entertainment - but this is more than that ... a profound meditation on anger, the ruin and tragedy it can lead us to.

I really enjoyed this show. Robin Leetham's perfomance was strong, always engaging my interest with his range and variety - sometimes subtle, sometimes full-on powerful. Also very funny, in black sort of way! A good story, well told.
