A tale of three Highland sisters who live in a shack in the woods disconnected from society, each of them with different views on how they should be living their lives. Tension between the sisters is high as the play begins. However, when two city dwellers get lost on a country escape and stumble upon their home, have the sisters found what could see them through the winter? The play looks at the role of women in today’s patriarchal society and asks the question: Do they have to become like men to succeed?

Really engaging and the humour did not distract from the darker themes. A great show that I'd recommend everyone see

This show completely exceeded my expectations, I did not expect to find it as funny as I did. It amazed me that through the comedy the dark themes kept me hooked throughout which I tend to struggle with shows. My favourite character, Sam, was brilliant. She may have been annoying at times but kept me thoroughly entertained throughout and the same can also be said to the other characters. All round amazing performances I highly recommend to anyone who will listen!

Ian Dunn’s script and direction explores bold and intelligent themes within a hilarious and thrillingly spooky plot. Its brought to life by a talented cast with a standout performance from Alex Patton who creates a terrifying but side-splitting anti-hero althought each of the cast get ample opportunity to flex their talent. A must watch!

Whilst at first glance this play comes across as one which is light-hearted and comedic, “The Weird Sisters” explores a number of themes & issues which remain prevalent in today’s society. It was clear that each cast member was fit for their role through the convincing characters that were shown on stage. A must see. Well done Buff!
