Description

After sold-out Australian tours and millions of views online, the Wankernomics consultants are here for a deep-dive into the bureaucracy, buzzwords and bullshit of work. Learn how to outmanoeuvre your colleagues with nothing more than an obnoxious LinkedIn profile, a passive-aggressive email and the phrase 'circle back'. If you've ever endured a pointless meeting, pondered the meaningless of company values or been told to 'drill down on key learnings and align stakeholder feedback', this is the show for you. 'Exquisite. Leaves you in equal parts stitches and torment' ***** (WeekendNotes.com). 'Unmissable!' ***** (WeekenderHerald.com.au).

If you've ever worked for a big corporate you'll find this so relatable. Standby for cringe moments when you realise you've actually used some of these wankerisms. Definitely not one to be missed!

So, I thought I needed to grace this spectacle with my presence, drawing from my vast experience in the public sector. Lo and behold, it didn't fail to meet my expectations as we were guided by overpaid consultants through a one-hour strategy session (yes, seriously).

The entertainment kicked off with a delightfully outlandish video introducing the dynamic duo with their ridiculously fancy job titles. From there, jumping from one module to another, with gems like 'Intro to LinkedIn' (seriously, who knew we'd find Jesus' LinkedIn profile in a sketch poking fun at corporate absurdity? Hilariously unexpected), 'the art of small talk', and 'how to kickstart a business”.

This show strikes a chord with anyone who has ever sported a lanyard. The blend of mind-numbing banality even led me to heavy eyelids and a quick power nap halfway through (yes really), only to be roused back to reality towards the uproarious finale featuring stock footage that companies worldwide have probably recycled in their recruitment ads for ages.

Whilst a funny show, my laughter was cynical rather than having a good time. The sad part is that there were really no big surprises.

Irreverent, caustic and on-point. Completely relatable by the majority of those who have ever stepped foot in a modern-day office environment. Miss this at your peril!

My absolute favourite at this year's Fringe. So funny and relatable. I will never be able to keep a straight face when I hear wankerisms at work again.

Bringing this to top of your inbox:

Finally a show fully aligned to my values. And great to see a clearly defined agenda for once with tangible outcomes exceeded in all units.

Loved it!! Definitely worthy of a Living our Values Award.

The most original show we saw this year. Anyone that's worked in the corporate has to see this show. Original, clever, very funny and highly entertaining.
