Description

Vera Ballero is an ambitious journalist from Paris, and the famous host of The Shivering Truth, a news programme from Berlin that is intensely focused on global tragedies. However, Vera's relentless pursuit of success is met with challenges, particularly when she confronts the dark side of the industry. When she finds herself removed from her position by the producer she denounced as a paedophile, she decides to host her own private show during her final Saturday night live broadcast – to ensure Vera's Truth will be heard. A solo dark comedy, written and performed by Salome Topuria.

Vera’s Truth is a uniquely captivating show, and Salome is a brilliant performer! Although it’s dark in subject matter, it’s also really funny at times and had me laughing out loud. One to watch!

A fabulous character study. Vera's Truth is poignant, strong and intelligent.
Salome has excellent command of the stage, and subtitles and range of an actor beyond her years. Moving, intriguing and intimate. Recommended!

This show knows exactly how to balance between some really dark subjects with emotional gut punches against the well written comedy that brings the tone up a little, Salomé is a very good actor and has a very commanding stage presence.

Miguel Wilson 21 days ago

Definitely has a more serious tone, and she really captivates you! Can’t recommend enough!

Salome is a wonderful and very expressive actress. She portrays Vera with so much emotions and i was taken aback a few times by the plot. I did not expect the ending definitely.

This is more dark than comedy for sure! I'm not complaining though, because i was throughly engaged by Salome's acting. Would definitely recommend to watch this if you are looking for a show that isn't "famous" or want to experience a more intimate experience as an audience.

Dearest Salome, you have sooooo much potential as an actress. I can't wait for your other works!

Fabulous character acting! Worth it just to see the dexterity and ease with which the actress can slip between characters, a great story teller. And always great to see and support young female writer directors!
