Description

New, dark comedy exploring how suffocating hiding the truth can be. When struggling teenager Charlie finds himself transported through time and space into the futuristic foyer of the Tycho Hotel, the first ever hotel on the Moon, all his earthly problems seem to disappear. The endless luxury and colourful guests are a pleasant respite from daily life. But then the oxygen systems start to fail and the guests start to reveal their true reasons for coming to the hotel. Funny, tense and thought-provoking new theatre from ICDS.

This show has everything... comedy, heart, sci-fi, tragedy, and a queer coming-of-age story, all in one neatly polished package. The concept was incredibly well-developed and beautifully performed, with all but the lead actor multi-roling. Everyone got their chance to shine and shine they did, with brilliant character acting. The music was absolutely fantastic and the minimal set was used very cleverly. I laughed, cried, and gasped, and truly hope that the Fringe doesn't mark the end for this gem of a show. Huge kudos to the entire team!

More shows should trick middle class conservative Scotsmen into watching queer coming of age stories by enticing them with space: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
