Description

Award-winning playwright Shaun Prendergast's play Two Mums tells the story of Lucinda. After years of unsuccessful attempts to get pregnant, she is at the end of her tether. Then a chance encounter with cash-strapped Natasha presents a possible solution. But what begins as a simple business arrangement becomes more difficult as the two women negotiate dodgy donors, dark secrets, and depths of feeling neither were expecting. Frank, poignant, fast paced and very, very funny, Two Mums is a contemporary comedy about life, love and perils of unconventional parenting.

I love the topic that this play is talking about. I want to be a mother biologically independent in the future as well. So I highly recommend this show, whether on the fringes of 2024 or in the future.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but loved this. Really funny and also moving. We were a quiet audience, but really engaged. Super performances from both and really enjoyed the multi rolling. Worth seeing this, especially if you've ever thought of having a baby alone.

It's so wonderful when a show surprises! From the poster, I expected "Two Mums" to be funny, and it is; I did not expect it to be also so moving and emotional. Louise Amos and Maria Liman have phenomenal chemistry together, and I was rooting for their characters the whole way through this wacky and yet completely believable tale. Don't miss it!

A thought-provoking exploration of contemporary issues facing womanhood. Engagingly written, with well-rounded and nuanced performances by the two actresses. Highly recommended!
