Description
If you can’t trust your memory what can you trust? Martin has a problem: he can’t make new memories. Since he went to the dentist a decade ago, every morning when he wakes up it’s 2008. He’s a cabbie with The Knowledge, but he can’t remember yesterday. Inspired by a true story, Timeless spends a single day in Martin’s bewildering world. Written by Brian Coyle, directed by Charlotte Peters and performed by John Rayment, Timeless is a moving, sometimes funny and searching account of how his condition affects the whole family. A beautifully crafted story, about a man loosing his memory, how it affects him and his family. Hypnotic performance from the lead, John. This play will stay with me for a long time. Go and see it!

Timeless is a great piece of theatre. It's a moving solo show by a cabbie who can’t make new memories, and it is so well-performed by John Rayment. Don't miss.

An engaging one man show looking at the power of memory. Great performance from John R with both humour & pathos.

Outstanding, funny at times but ultimately a very tragic story, 10/10

Captivating and rather sad story, played brilliantly and left me feeling like I've seen the best show this fringe. Though topic and brilliant performance, go and enjoy.

After a late-ish evening the night before I was questioning my choices of committing to seeing a show at 10:50am, let alone one with a seemingly miserable topic...
But crisis was averted. Timeless is a captivating play of a fascinating medical curiosity that gave me a mild existential crisis to contemplate, and also explores how Martin's condition effects everyone around him... which he discovers for the first time every. single. day.
John's performance exudes warmth and in the moments where Martin is distressed with what he can't remember it gets genuinely difficult to watch.
The script is peppered with dashes of humour, balancing the dark, and a story reveal in the final five or so minutes that made me gasp out loud.
From next week, performances change to evening times so if the early start time puts you off, there's your chance.
Timeless is a hidden gem of this year's Fringe and well worth your time.
