Description

$65 billion USD worth of art was sold last year, yet 95% of artists can’t make a living. What happened, and how did we get here? This punchy, provocative, and powerful small show explores capitalist realism and its suffocating effects on imagination, creativity, and hope. Inspired by the writings of Mark Fisher, the show features fascinating artists from the UK, NZ, Australia and the USA. Drive, cycle, or jump on a bus (9, 22, X37) to this beautiful new Wasps arts venue in the old Granton Station: 1 Granton Square, EH51FU.

A wonderful show, few pieces and all fascinating in their own right. Scott gave us the background on each of them which was interesting and entertaining; our group left very glad we'd made the trip out of town a bit (the location in itself highly relevant to the spirit of the exhibition). Go, it's well worth it!
