The Things I Did While Waiting For You To Fall Back In Love With Me

Description

A funeral you can’t keep your inappropriate self from laughing through: this one-person show is a love letter to the humiliating experience of becoming a grown up, and the way grief connects us all. If Hamlet had more of a lesbian vibe, this would be his performance art to be or not to be. Through stories of trial and error based on real accounts from heartbreak survivors, the audience will crack up and crack open in the search for evidence that we are not alone.

As I have seen a lot of shows this one is a must see an memorable piece of art, I enjoyed every second of it and would have loved to see more, there was no moment I have been thinking of something else because it was just superb from start till the end. There was just everything in it and the performance made you laugh and think and feel with her, her movements, her singing, the story - everything just fits perfectly together and I can highly recommend it. Dont miss it!

Highly recommend you take a chance on this show. This show was clever and fun. The writer/actress takes you on a journey through a break up. Her thoughts and feelings are ones we can all identify with and laugh about.

This show is a must-see at the Fringe. Sarah Hogewood is genius. Pretty, witty, AND gay! I laughed until I cried and then I cried until I had an existential crisis. Anyone who has ever lost love, fallen in love, considered love, or been gay should see this show. I was told this show would be the next Fleabag and it delivered!

Full on, fast and furious with a touch of darkness and self indulgence this is a short performance which many may enjoy.

The audience learn about the universality of heartbreak, LGTBQ+ identity, anxiety and pain, although it is funny I promise. Simple lighting and voice-overs help weave context throughout the show and leave the ending on a sobering but beautiful note.
