What do you do when you take the early-morning flight to Edinburgh and the hotel check-in doesn't open until 2 in the afternoon? Why of course, you come to see Andy Gleeks and his 9:45am show and discover that it's much more than just "filling time until the hotel opens" - rather, it's the story of a man making his way through divorce with a sprinkle of Northern Irish charm that pulls you in and keeps you amused throughout. Similar to Glenn Wool's "Luv(sic)", one could check out both shows at the Fringe to see how people in comedy handle the breakdown of a marriage and how to cope in such a situation. Overall, Andy Gleeks does a good show and is definitely recommend for those looking for an after-breakfast stand-up performance.

What a fab start to a day at the Fringe. A great gig at 09.45 am. Andy made me smile, giggle, belly laugh and think.
This comedian deserves a larger venue for sure. Do not miss this hour of pure joy. Still on Monday and Tuesday coming.

Was sat looking for a good show to get day off to a start. Great show! Perfect amount of energy and well laced times punchlines. Kept me wanting more and interested in what he was going to say next.

Very first show I saw this year and it set a high bar for the rest of the festival--without giving too much away, Andy manages to be hilarious whilst also bringing his observations about class and English/Irish cultural differences to the table. Would highly recommend if you fancy early morning comedy!

Such a clever and delightful show, and just the correct energy for a 9:45 slot! Perfect for last days at the fringe, first days at the fringe, perfect any day really!

I came across Andy at two different compilation shows, and he was great both times, so I thought the only sensible thing to do was take in his whole hour. It did not disappoint.

Thought-provoking, heartfelt and above all, funny. Well worth getting up for!
