Such a funny show and concept! Jam-packed with talented actors, hilarious dialogue, and a few outlandish scenarios, Telephone was a brilliant comedic look at rumours getting wildly out of hand.

WHAT A SHOW! Such a dynamic cast and incredibly clever writing. You know the premise but you never expect what will happen next. Each new vignette catches you by surprise, the story spreading in directions you wouldn't have expected. I would recommend this show to anyone who loves a good gossip, even when they don't know all the details!

Oh my god, what a show. Hilarious, clever, and a beautiful script which left plenty of room for tender moments amongst hilarious wit. Particularly enjoyed the character of Miriam, whose physical comedy shone. Excellent, well done to all the cast and bright futures ahead for you all.

I doubt there’s a more talented group of young actors in Edinburgh this Festival. The multiple characters each of them owned was truly impressive. Look forward to seeing more of these actors in the future.

Very clever, high energy, awesome acting talent, in your face comedy that seems born from a drama and writing exercise. I went to this show because I was at the venue for another show and I heard raucous laughter from a small studio room and I asked one actor outside what show it was. He told me Telephone and I booked it for the next day. I enjoyed it very much. It’s a really small space but I think it really works for the stage arrangement.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so much talent in such a small space . Everyone involved is incredible - direction, production and ensemble cast. So inventive, so funny and so sharp . A brilliant idea, brilliantly executed. Absolutely hilarious . Congratulations to everyone. Highly recommended.

Wow! Absolutely hilarious from start to finish. Fantastic and inventive writing, great directing and staging which cleverly used very little to say a lot, and the performances were off the scale. Not a weak link in the chain, the talent was bursting out of the room. A superb bit of comedy theatre. Go and see it.

Ferdinand Ray's Telephone is a comedic triumph that marks a remarkable debut for Ray as both playwright and co-director at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The play brilliantly captures the essence of a classic game of 'Telephone', with a modern twist that is sure to leave audiences in stitches.

The cyclical structure of the play allows a simple rumor to spiral into delightful absurdity, becoming more ridiculous and hilariously nonsensical with each retelling. Ray’s writing is nothing short of superb—each scene is intricately crafted, demonstrating his keen eye for both humor and the nuances of human communication. What starts as a straightforward piece of gossip quickly transforms into a wild rollercoaster of misunderstandings, misinterpretations, and outright fabrications.

The performances are stellar, with each actor bringing a distinct flavor to their roles, enhancing the humor and highlighting the quirks of their characters. The chemistry among the cast is palpable, making the transitions from one rumor to the next (and one character to the next) seamless and increasingly entertaining.

Beyond the laughter, Telephone offers a clever commentary on the nature of communication and the way information mutates as it travels through different minds. This added layer of depth makes the play not just a fun and lighthearted watch, but also a thought-provoking experience.

As a debut piece, Telephone is a testament to Ferdinand Ray's talent and vision. It’s a brilliantly written and executed new comedy that is not one to miss. If you're considering it - buy tickets now!

The ultimate subversion of expectations. ‘Telephone’ takes expect the unexpected to a whole new level as you learn snippets into the lives of 18 different people through the greatest game of telephone. The play is so cleverly written by Ferdinand Ray, and I highly commend the fantastic job done by both Ray and Beth Whitaker as directors for the shows pacing, blocking and clever use of set design. And of course, an absolutely talented bunch who deliver the play with such hilarious conviction in every character they play. Each actor multi roles three characters and not a single one is forgettable. Congratulations to the entire team on a fab performance!

What a fantastic original concept for a play and I'm so glad it lived up to expectations.

The multi-rolling cast deserves to be celebrated so much for creating so many stand-out characters in such short spaces of time - it was a delight to watch each scene and meet a new person every few minutes!

Laughed a lot and can highly highly recommend.
