This is such a clever show and Tea is a tender and amazing performer. Im glad that this piece Is here at Fringe, representing and delivering all this queer content. With beautiful and funny words. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tea presented us an expansive yet intimate sprint through a truly touching and empowering look at the history of gender, fashion, and reasons why today’s gender stereotypes are ludicrous. I can’t recommend this show enough! I laughed, I cried, I learned something, and now I want to buy heeled boots!

Hilarious - a great concept, very inventive, and goes in surprising directions! I learned a lot about the history of gender, and I thought the audience participation was used very effectively.

I loved getting to catch this show. I knew vaguely it would be about queer identity and the history of fashion but it was so funny! The jokes come fast and frequent and in rhyme which is a feat that tickles the brain!

I am beyond thrilled I got to catch this show! Mandrill was surprising- I knew what I was in for, had watched some clips, knew I was going to laugh. Then suddenly the show starts and it’s in rhyme, there’s improv, I’m tearing up, my face hurts from laughing, and I know about 80% more queer history than I had known before. Tea is a brilliant performer and remains witty and energetic throughout the show. Definitely do not miss!

Mandrill is a wholly unique display of queer history, Shakespearean wordplay, whipsmart wit, and warm humanity. It's impressive to watch Tea crack joke after joke while managing to keep rhyme, weaving an affecting emotion throughout that will sit with you long after you've left the venue. You have to go see this show. This is the second show I’ve seen from Tea Wade, and they are absolutely incredible. Funny, heartfelt, and frankly genius. Mandrill is a rhyming history of gender that will have you laughing and learning. This show is just LOVELY!!!

So refreshing to see such a smart, funny show that rhymes in a way that is almost understated. I learned a lot and am still thinking about how brilliantly Tea walked us through the fickle world of who gets to wear wigs and makeup. A must not miss!!!

This show is beautifully written- it rhymes, but not in an annoying way! Tea is a fantastic performer and I both laughed and learned a lot. Highly recommend!
