I so wanted to love this show. Skank, for that is their name, looked amazingly glamorous. They could certainly sing and he/she was a very talented piano player. However, the patter and jokes fell flat. Maybe it’s north/south hemisphere divide. If there were more vocals and less dialogue that would improve the show. Skank’s life story was really not interesting enough to make it worthy of retelling. There was enough potential in the vocals and piano work to fill a show.
The tech let them down also. When Skank was playing piano, they were back and side-lit so appeared in shadow. The piano was too high in the mix, and there was so much fake smoke you could barely see the stage at times. Easily fixed, but also easy to get wrong. Maybe a bit harsh, but when you’re charging for a show, it should be as good as it can be.

Absolutely fantastic. A great heartwarming life story mixed with the classics expertly executed. The drama, staging a humor were all on point. 10/10

Felt like a traditional drag show, if you love the classics you’ll love this. Room was a very comfortable temperature.
