Description

Sitting Pretty is a camp, fun-filled, happy-hearted show with northern powerhouse, beautician, astrologist, therapist and cabaret performer, Kitty Cassis. There are tales from the salon, hilarious parody songs and the opportunity to experience a full emotional MOT. Straddling cabaret and comedy, Kitty finds nostalgic solutions to modern-day problems with a clown-inspired twist. Kitty is the ultimate party guest. 'A vision in leopard print... glimpses of early Caroline Aherne...' (Chortle.co.uk).

Kitty is a true Renaissance woman with myriad skills and accomplishments that she will enumerate. Above all though, she is a disarming, engaging and entertaining host who will make you smile, titter, giggle, and guffaw. Kitty is also a talented satirical songwriter and performer. At least one of her ditties has viral potential in my opinion. An hour with Kitty is one well spent.

Arrived in Edinburgh, walked along the street and got pulled in by Kitty. This show was just a perfect introduction to the weird and wonderful fringe - charming, warm funny - we were invited into the salon and treated to an absolute joy ride of energy and camp songs. Go see if you fancy a bit of daft!

I cried laughing. Such a hilarious and heartwarming show. A little sad it was over.
