Description
What does it mean to be a man today? Robbie (44) and Alfie (10) meet on an extraordinary building site at dawn. Together they dance and play, trying to make sense of it all. Directed by Eoin McKenzie in collaboration with Robbie Synge and young performer Alfie, this is a funny and tender new contemporary dance performance for audiences aged 8+ that considers familiar and unexpected ideas about masculinity and friendship. This show has been programmed by Dance Base in collaboration with Assembly. Part of the Made in Scotland Showcase, in association with Imaginate. Completely beautiful. The tenderness between Robbie and Alfie, the moments of joy and the moments of struggle made for a deeply moving, sweet performance. I could have watched it ten times over :)
