Description

The Shambles, University of York's improvised comedy troupe, are back at the Fringe for their 12th year. Bringing you hilarious scenes, songs and games based entirely on your audience suggestions – no two shows will ever be the same! Prepare for a raucous night of laughter as The Shambles turn whatever you shout at them into a high-energy performance of concentrated silliness right on the spot. 'Fluid and natural, buoyed by frantic energy' (EdFringeReview.com, 2018). 'An ironic name indeed, as the group are anything but shambolic' (Binge Fringe, 2018).

Hi all
Caught the shambles improvised comedy show at the Radisson hotel on Saturday night.
I have to say what a great show, the young performers showed off their ability to react to any topic the audience threw at them. I had a few belly laughs that I wasn’t expecting and giggled through the whole show. The team can change the direction of their comedy at the drop of a hat, and when instructed they created fantastic comedy songs on the last words spoken. This was truly great comedy improvisation. We had a great night.

Honestly just very very very funny. This is a group of very talented improvisers with a great sense of ensemble and brilliant shared humour. My highlight was the sewer musical. I can’t recommend enough.
