Description

Sell-out event with a new line-up! On the outskirts of Edinburgh, hidden away at the end of a winding driveway, lies one of Edinburgh's secret treasures – Lauriston Castle. Imagine timeless tapestries, ornate silverware, but also a world of clandestine laboratories, hidden passages and secret rooms... Three expert magicians animate the castle's intriguing past with stories, performances and illusions related to the history of Lauriston and her owners. A High Court judge-cum-surreptitious alchemist, a gambler who nearly lost everything, what other mysteries does this wonderful castle conceal? Featuring Drew McAdam, Lewis Barlow, Adam Black.

Surprising, entertaining in an amazing setting.
You will see some classic tricks brought to a higher level and some very original ones, mind-blowing!

My very first Fringe show was the Secret Room in 2018, in which Lewis Barlow and Adam Black were also performing. This year they are back, with new stories and a new show, you must see them!

Finally, you also have the opportunity to see and learn about the beautiful Lauriston Castle. What interestinge venue to set up a show!

Three excellent performers in a lovely (if it's not doing the Scottish summer thing of torrential rain) historical setting. If you like close up intimate magic, well worth a look.

"Lauriston Castle is Divines new friend, such an important place of Historical interest, eye candy at every turn and the perfect escape from the festival packed city. A refreshing and revitalising place of natural wonder and artistic intrigue, The Magicians were just fantastic and the venue is out of this world interesting and its history is mind bogglingly exciting. A perfect antidote to Fringe Fatigue."
