Brought my two daughters yesterday not expecting too much from a Junior cast but it was fantastic. Matilda and Miss Honey had such beautiful voices, Miss Trunchbull and Matilda’s dad had fantastic comic timing. In fact the whole cast were just amazing. My girls sung the songs all the way home which went down well on the bus

Matilda is a favourite of ours already and the standing ovation told the story of how much the audience enjoy the show. Matilda was amazing and so confident and fiesty, exactly what you expected the character to be. Luke as Miss Trunchbull was absolutely brilliant, his acting and singing and comic timing was fantastic! The big kid (girl with curly hair) was brilliant and so funny and the dance teacher all in pink was hilarious. We loved the little kids and highlights were Nigel who was adorable and Bruce who was brilliant! What an excellent show, I'm recommending it to all!

We happened on this show last year and brought family to see it again. Even better than I remembered. Something for everyone of all ages. A great family experience. The young lady playing Miss Honey sang so beautifully and effortlessly and Matilda was very strong. Both had us in tears. We were delighted to see the same young man as Agatha and he was just perfect again. Had us all in fits but was also a great performer. Only the little boy playing Nigel was more watchable. Really enjoyed Mr Wormwood’s portrayal which made him a little more sympathetic and young Bruce has a super voice. I believe there are only a few tickets left on the Theatre Company’s own website now and it was a sell out Sunday today but there are also lots of other shows from Captivate that we’ll be checking out for sure. Great value and fun! Well Done to all the young performers, especially those making their first appearances, and to everyone who put this together. My kids now want to be up there next year!

Stella Ross, one of four actors rotating in the title role, is confident and likeable in this well timed, well choreographed and a vocally accomplished production. Every single child creates a unique and individual character from the opening number Miracle on.
