Description

The myth of regenesis following the silence of a perished world is explored in Paradisum, where the body is the medium, the movement is the common language. The creatures of this idyllic existence emerge from the fabric of life pulsating around them with its continuously transforming, whirling force of nature as they move through scenes of purgation, nativity, awakening and rite to reach the anima mundi (world soul). After IMA (2023) and My Land (2018), Recirquel returns with a new premier directed by Bence Vági, creating an ethereal terminology utilising cirque dance to discuss humanity's global concerns.

Quite the most spectacular and physically amazing show I have EVER seen... I have seen the human body do things I didn't even know were possible... the athleticism of the troupe is second to none... They deserve every drop of praise anyone can throw at them..Superlatives escape me!... Brilliant, awe inspiring, breath taking, simply the best! :o)

The show was entrancing and misterious, with very few technical hiccups. The music and lights elevated the choreography to my top show of the year, and I am looking forward to the group coming back next year.

Extraordinary!!! Totally mesmerizing. Such beautiful ethereal emotive performances making these insanely skilled feats of physicality seem other worldly, with seamless flow and power. So impactful and impressive. The lighting and staging really intensifies and frames the performances beautifully and holistically, it's perfectly created for the space and audience. World class in every way.

So far my favourite show this year! It was a profound experience. The acrobatics are mindboggling and beautiful, the choreography, music and visual effects all are mesmerising, but most of all, the aesthetics and dramaturgy convey a depth and meaning that completely escape what words can describe. Somehow the show managed to touch me deeply and leave a glowing light in me behind.

(It’s amazing what you can achieve with several acres of recycled camouflage netting).

Holy wow. There are no words to describe this show. I work in the circus and dance industry and I can assure you that this is art at it's best. The cast, direction, choreography, execution, EVERYTHING about this show is so incredibly well done my only regret is not having the chance to see it many more times. By far the highlight of my Fringe experience. Inspiration, art and beauty for the soul. DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW.
