Description

You find a door. Do you open it? If yes: go to EdFringe.com to reserve a seat to the show. If no: why not? From the minds of Cerys Bradley (Actually Autistic Excellence Award 2022, as seen on Comedy Central) and Joz Norris (Comedian's Choice Award Winner, as heard on BBC Radio 4) comes a brand-new, still in development, technically not written yet, interactive choose-your-own storytelling comedy show. Come and explore our world inspired by autistic and queer (and Welsh) myths and legends and tell us what happens next.

Such an absolute joy! So so glad I managed to catch it before it finished. After a fantastic flyering pitch, this did not disappoint in the slightest. Overflowing with warmth, wit, and wonder, the casual beauty of this show made it one of my favourite things I’ve seen at fringe so far.

Cerys takes us on an unpredictable create your own adventure where the twists and turns are provided by the audience. Complete with hand made props, epic sound effects with perils, pitfalls, and laughs a plenty guaranteed. Cerys is a great story teller who brings home the relevance of this metaphor for Queer, trans, non binary and autistic folk with skill and warmth. It might be a work in progress but aren’t we all and isn’t that sort of the point. One not to miss, also the chairs are very comfortable!

Attended the first night and was so impressed with the level of detail and thought placed into this show and the poignancy that can be held within what at the surface may feel to be a comedic jaunt through whimsical adventures (guided by audience participation!) but speaks to deeper elements of queerness and neurodivergence and how these loved expereinces throw us into the role of authors of our own path when the world as is just isnt built with us in mind.

I went and saw the first showing of this and loved it so much I came back again the next day! It is absolutely brilliant, and the interactive nature of it means it's so different each time. Both nights I've been have had fabulous volunteers. I highly recommend it, and if you're shy don't worry as you don't have to interact if you don't want to!

Also super comfy chairs, you won't be squished like at some of the other venues and will have plenty of space to yourself. It's nice and dark at the back too.
