Description

Psychic Cheryl is an all-knowing mad mystic. Cheryl does not see herself as a human form, she's a woman of the world channelling from source. Unhinged advice from above, cleansing auras, matchmaking potential lovers, she knows it all. Cheryl uses her healing gifts to uplift souls one show at a time. Gnome Joy is a bearded, gender-neutral master of mischief. Joy will guide the audience through a wild journey of tomfoolery using their many tools. Together they bring you into their world of play, mysticism and magic. Split-bill work in progress.

Absolutely brilliant show. Laughed so hard and both characters were fantastic. Must see.

The funniest thing I saw this year by a mile. We were charmed in off the street by 'Cheryl'. It would be very easy for Cheryl to rehash the territory of more established acts like Charity Shop Sue and Clinton Baptiste but somehow avoids it. Gnome Joy is a welcome tone shift but took a little bit more time to get going. The surrealism was enhanced by the claustrophobic karaoke room setting, not sure it would work to a huge audience in a big room as the inescapable feeling added to the humour for me. Both comedians are blessed with 'Kenan Thompson face' you instantly want to laugh with them, I definitely recommend this show.

p.s it was such a nice break from watching posh comedians saying how hard it is growing up in central London

I had seen Gnome Joy and Psychic Cheryl advertising for this show outside the venue, completely in character which intrigued me and my friends and we decided to go see the show. It is very interactive which I love in a comedy and would definitely come see the show again.

Wow so happy to have stumbled across this show today ! Very funny, silly. Only negative thing was that it was only 40minutes !

Cheryl and Joy are an absolute and sheer delight. I have seen their show twice now and it has been interesting to see how they have developed their material so quickly and creatively, truly progressing their work and not resting back. Gnome Joy is a charming, dough-eyed character with a sweet child-like presence, who holds space in her own cheeky and endearing way; who could resist her invitations to play! Cheryl is a fine example of light-hearted parody, whose heart-warming idiocy is just irresistible. You would be hard pushed to leave their show feeling anything but uplifted, truly a tonic for anyone feeling the weight of our times.

Not very funny - the characters don't quite cut it and neither does the show. It is a "work in progress" but there's nothing to work on - the psychic parody is very shallow and I think the gnome persona is meant to be quirky but is in reality slightly off putting. If you are from Liverpool, it is probably quite offensive. It seems like one of those things that was funnier in their heads.
