Description

'I am done with Professor Where! Apparently, it's just not done with me yet...' In a new musical comedy, John B Stevens – the disillusioned showrunner of famous sci-fi TV show Professor Where – is writing his final season when he finds himself transported through universes and trapped in the very world he is desperately trying to escape. A hilarious new original musical, parodying British sci-fi classics, Professor Where is a meta exploration what it means for a writer to carry the legacy of a cultural phenomenon.

Show much fun! The cast were hilarious and a joy to watch. I laughed so much! And the companion tango was everything.

Hilarious performance by a lively cast who have brilliant chemistry and comic timing! This is a witty production paying good-humoured homage to the sci-fi genre. Super show!

Great show, very funny with lots of witty cultural references. The cast have a great dynamic and riff off each other freely. Highly recommend, for all ages

A fanmade show that seems to exist for the casts roleplaying enjoyment rather than entertaining the audience or showing much artistry.
Ever seen dorks criticizing a show they love and think they are much better than the show's creators? Ever seen them thinking they can be better storytellers? They made a really long show. Want to waste money and time watching them?

The best thing I've seen at Fringe so far!! This show was genuinely a laugh a minute. The tech and staging was slick, and the cast were hilarious and never dropped their energy. It's, cleverly, perfect both for people who love Doctor Who, and people who don't. Really, really recommend!

So good that the friend I saw this with genuinely thought it was written by StarKid, and was shocked when she found out it was written by students. Funny, well performed, and clearly written with love for Doctor Who whilst still poking fun at its shortcomings.

I was really excited for this but sadly it was very poorly done. The performers were weak and seemed under rehearsed. The writing was really weak: not well done parody, not funny, and many things just simply didn’t make sense. The songs added nothing. I also feel that parody is most successful when the creative team likes the source material and playfully pokes fun at it: I got the sense throughout this show that the Professor Where team actually really hates Doctor Who, which is no fun at all.

Amazingly funny, even as someone who isn’t really a fan of sci-fi. All the actors were so fantastic and the set/lights were so cool. All in all, an incredibly enjoyable night out, would highly recommend!

Really enjoyed this, definitely one for the Whovians! Very funny and affectionate parody with a meta twist, great songs and performances!
