Great fun. A lot of skill in his hosting. Mostly aimed at Millenials but as a Gen Zer I still recognised the vast majority. A really lovely atmosphere. He encouraged us to take the joyful feeling with us for the rest of the summer, rest of our lives - we need it in the world right now

One of my favourite shows of the festival - what a way to start the day!! The bonus 90s pop culture references were the icing on the cake. Mr Partridge is an absolute legend.

An absolutely uplifting show that should be provided on prescription! I sang and smiled for the full hour and came out on a high. Thank you Mr Partridge. Go and see this show ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I discovered James during COVID and tagged all my primary school friends in his posts on Instagram. It was great to see him in the flesh and having the opportunity to relive our younger school days. It was energetic and uplifting from start to finish. I took my kids along who loved it, especially having the lyrics on their iPads to sing along with. Thanks James.

My highlight of the fringe! This was one of the best shows I've seen, it wasn't just nostalgic songs but also funny stories! My last show of the few days I spent there and it definitely left me on a positive note - would recommend to anyone looking for a joy filled heart warming hour - he is such a natural performer with lots of charisma

This show is an hour of pure joy and escapism, a nostalgia fest particularly for millennials like myself. Genuinely felt like I had been to group therapy coming out of it, please please bring your Christmas show to Edinburgh!

This show was a no-brainer for us, and didn't disappoint! A perfect balance of storytelling and singing, James is a natural performer, and will unlock parts of your memory and send you back to being jealous of the big-kids who got to sit on the bench!

This is a fringe must see! I came along with friends, from primary and secondary school, and you made us smile all day. Your show is funny and feel good and you spread pure joy so thank you for giving us the best start to our day.

My fringe favourite. I’d waited a while to see this and I was not disappointed. Hilarious, nostalgic and of course filled with bangers, I had the absolute best time. James pulls this show together wonderfully well and have already booked tickets for the Christmas assembly. Thank you for letting me belt out tunes from the depth of my memory!

Wow.
There are some really lucky kids that get this guy as their teacher. From a family that has three choir members, of which one is training to be a primary teacher and two less enthusiastic attendees, this was a strong contender for our show of the fringe.
There was singing along, there was actions, and there was a lot of joy.
Go see this if you ever sat cross legged on the school hall floor and shouted “NAKED”

Great trip down memory lane. A nostalgic trip back to being at primary school in the 90s. Very enjoyable.

James natural showmanship shines through, and between songs, his storytelling captures your heart and brings a real feeling of nostalgia to the audience. He is the music teacher we all wish we had at school and makes music fun for everyone.
