Gianna is a star. She is an incredible performer- I felt completely at ease on her ride as she expertly told her story. She is a PHENOMENAL actress and performer- her songs are so fun (I was dancing in my seat) and the message was so powerful and relatable. Adorable, vulnerable show.

Gianna Milici was simply brimming with Bette Midler energy! The piece makes her points using laughter and facial expressions and a great voice! Such a joy to experience self refection without self pity. Empowered resilience in the plot. And so much connection and appreciation from the crowd. A must see!!

Gianna Milici’s Pretty Delusional is a musical comedy that explores being a hopeless romantic in a digital world of casual hookup culture. Gianna fearlessly expands in this musical, using simple elements of clown to explore her early impressions of love/relationships, while breaking out into song. This musical variety show is an absolute riot leaving you wanting to dance with your friends, love yourself, and ofcourse with newfound confidence that you are “hotter than Beyoncé!”

Gianna seamlessly moved through storytelling and song, with the support of pop backtracks setting the tone for each scene (music by Shelbie Rassler). Performing the show in an intimate, in-the-round space allowed audiences to be immediately drawn into Gianna’s explosive energy- sighing along with her pitfalls in love and cheering/ singing along with her triumphs!

While it is easy to fall into self-deprecation, Gianna embodies a difference of character between her and her younger self; allowing the audience to laugh together at even the most awkward past romances, without shame or discomfort.

Standouts of this piece included the song “Top the Bottom of your World” where Gianna is in her highly theatrical ‘villain era’ enacting her revenge on a past 'situationship'. Afterward, she notes the revenge was all her in her head; revealing the inherent problem with making up stories about lovers that are not #trululu. Another strong moment was a ballet dance a-la 'Oklahoma' of Gianna in a classic post-hookup dilemma. The story concludes with a message that having hope in love is not inherently bad or “delusional;” we must love ourselves and keep believing good things are possible to live happier lives.

If you are Gen-Z and struggling to find love - this is THE SHOW for you. In an era of Chappell Roan and #bratsummer, Gianna transforms into a pop icon with familiar references as specific as Troy Bolton playing basketball in 'High School Musical' to let you into her world of “delulu” crushes and icon romanticism. The joy in this piece is explosive! I highly recommend you see this show, if you want to have a fabulous time at the fringe (and a new Spotify song to sing to in the shower #hotterthanbeyoncé).

I went to this show by chance, and I’m very glad that I did! A relatable story humorously told (with just the right dose of poignant moments). Despite a smaller audience at the show I attended, Gianna gave 100% and has a bubbly energy that is infectious. The original score is full of catchy upbeat songs. Great sound design and creative use of props. Recommend!

She really managed to hit home with the emotional rollercoaster that is dating in this era . How she had you belly laughing at the delicate balance of remaining hopelessly romantic while also experiencing emotional turbulence that comes with modern dating and discovering yourself. It was so refreshing to remember to laugh about the journey regardless

Can I just say...I met Gianna at the fest and didn't know much about her show so I went into it knowing nothing and HOLY SHIT THIS GIRL CAN SING. (And dance, and write, and perform!!!). She's truly a force to be reckoned with. I had so much fun throughout the show, and it was also so freakin funny. Seriously, this woman is a freakin STAR. Go catch it if you can.

"Hotter Than Beyoncé" is the song of EdFringe 2024; argue with the wall. Gianna is a superstar in the (self-)making and PRETTY DELUSIONAL is a feat of a debut solo musical that's also an absolute feel-good festival gem. Her comedic presence recalls Maya Rudolph, her storytelling is vulnerable but never saccharine, and her stage presence could charm even the steeliest (or most exhausted) Fringe-goer. She plays The Space Triplex like the damn O2, but better than most pop stars, you actually want her to be your best friend. Add me to the group chat, G, I want to get the hot girl selfie when you're playing sold out theatres.

Bow down to queen G. You will leave Gianna's show with a new sense of joy, hope, and faith in yourself. She's an incredible performer and the show is TIGHT. She effortlessly weaves together comedy and a beautiful narrative that resonates no matter where you are on your journey to self acceptance.

An actual pop star! Gianna is a magnetic and lovable performer, and this show is an absolute delight; silly, thoughtful, stupid, and brilliant all in equal measure.

Gianna is a firecracker. She delivers an explosive performance with non-stop energy, comedic uumph, killer musicality (be prepared for one soaring anthem in particular to be stuck in your head all day) and a savvy, smart take on millennial dating & self love. Go go go!

Gianna sparkles and offers a warm hug of a show that also makes you chuckle so hard. I’ve come back more than once and every time it makes me cry and laugh. Gianna absolutely has the thing.

A STAR. Gianna could stand there staring at me doing nothing and I would still thank her. But luckily she doesn't just stand there — her storytelling, her jokes, her songs, and most importantly her incredibly hot and alluring personality make this show the standout performance of fringe. See it once and then see it again — you'll be glad you did!! I can't recommend this show enough. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

Went because she was self prompting and it was clear Gianna was talented. The show will not disappoint - it is a whirlwind of emotions. Funny, poignant, heartfelt storytelling with amazing vocals and wonderfully performed songs. I laughed and cried. A gem of a fringe show

Gianna is brilliant. She sings, she dances, she's hotter than Beyonce (do yourself a favour and go see her show so you can be in on that joke). I've seen this show twice and will definitely see it again!

A warm, hilarious, and utterly confident performance — with songs that are fun, catchy and memorable (definitely not a given in the solo-show space!) and some really incredible, subtle physical comedy.

Olivia Amicangioli 107 days ago

GO WATCH IT!!!! Just go. Gianna is a hilarious, incredible storyteller, and we were dying laughing the whole time. If you are looking for an entertaining, lighthearted, funny yet empowering show to make you laugh, this is the one. 10/10.

Gianna is a comedic powerhouse. She perfectly balances her comedy with emotional vulnerability. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll fart, you'll have these songs stuck in your head for weeks!

Gianna’s show is an absolutely blast and a have! Featuring original music that is super catchy and is still stuck in my head in the best way! I love her humor and physical comedy, as well as strategic use of props. A must see at the Fringe especially if you’re looking for fun, funny, and are a hopeless romantic.

While leaving, audience members were still singing to themselves the show songs, with music by Shelbie Rassler, that parody a tradition of romantic musical songs.
