Description
Matthew is trapped in his flat, a rotting box where he lives vicariously through his neighbours. He listens through the walls, festering in his contempt, until one day he hears the sound of panicked whimpering through the cracks... Plasterboard Sandwich is a study of the people we can't see behind closed doors. Of their insular hatred and the way it manifests in the world they create. The show is truly a solo act, with everything being created onstage: from lighting to sound, and the creeping awareness of a voyeuristic audience. I hope you have a strong stomach. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. This show is exactly what the Fringe is about. Every second oozes creativity and sheer passion. Will crafts a twisted and at times very dark story surrounded by a magnificent art-piece of a set that quickly reveals itself to be a series of Schrodinger’s foley effects. A stunning performance aided by a frankly inspired soundscape of entirely recycled materials. Its nothing short of awe-inspiring and reallt needs and deserves to be experienced live

We were walking past just as the show was about to begin, so we went in completely blind. Surprising from start to finish. The use of props and sound effects is inspired.

Wow. This young man is so talented. His use of recycled household items and objects results in this being both innovative and a sustainable show. The sound effects achieved in the use of these items seemlessly compliment this unique play. Bravo.
