Description

Placeholder follows the early-life crisis of a somewhat dramatic twenty-something. After the death of an ex-girlfriend, Sophie begins to rethink her life, career and relationships. Faced with her own mortality, she decides the best option is to become a nun. One hitch: she’s an atheist. And her boyfriend doesn’t seem too happy with the decision. A piece of new writing written and performed by students from the University of Oxford, the play asks questions we’ve all faced: What if I’m just average? Am I wasting time? Can an atheist become a nun?
