Description

A compelling, humorous and poignant play that explores the intimate and often complex relationship between girls and their shared experiences in the bathroom. Set in different bathrooms across various years, the bathroom serves as a backdrop for the trials and tribulations of adolescence. It's a place where friendships are solidified, secrets are revealed and hearts are broken and mended. This play delves into the highs and lows of teenage life, tackling issues of identity, relationships and self-discovery, all within the confines of the girls' pissy, unsanitary bathroom.

Didn't think this was going to be my kind of thing, how wrong I was! A couple of friends had this on their lists' and of course I was keen to broaden my horizons. Incredible acting and fantastic use of the set made for a wonderful piece of theatre. Thanks for a great show!

I did already try to post a review for Piss Girls but I’m not sure it worked properly so apologies if this appears twice!

I went with my best friend of 5 years to see Piss Girls last night & it absolutely nailed the experience of navigating friendship as young women.

This show was such a poignant, funny & relatable experience as two girls who went to school together, lived together and developed plenty of bathroom related lore as a result. It brought back memories of the ridiculous and heartfelt conversations we’ve had while getting ready together at home or in nightclub cubicles & grotty festival portaloos.

Ultimately, it served as the perfect reminder of how lucky and grateful I am for the girls I have in my life. I really hope to see this show again someday, whether it be at the Fringe or elsewhere!

This show expertly deals with taboo topics such as periods, sexual assault and self-harm, although some of these themes are only touched upon and not necessarily expanded. “Piss girls” perfectly captures the vibes of girls’ bathrooms and the culture that comes with them. It’s a compelling and intricate play that is beautifully written. Brooke and Sam perform with such expertise and love that you can really tell they are invested in this story, which, as an audience member, makes it easier to connect with and understand the characters. The subtleties of the script and the small actions each actor brings to the performance create a lasting impact and allow for meaningful conversations to be had after watching the show. Moreover, the cyclical structure and satisfying ending exemplify just how much thought was put into this project. The creative use of lighting and props allows for us to feel like we’re in the bathroom with the characters. The small venue also allows for this intimate atmosphere, however it would be amazing to see this in a larger space someday. Highly recommend for everyone, but especially for others who consider themselves piss girls

Piss Girls is a must for anyone who’s ever had a weepy reconciliation in a bathroom – or anyone who might still yet have an old friend they want to find their way back to.
