Description

Fairy Sprinkles isn't your average fairy... In this award winning rock'n'roll monologue from Lucy Heffernan, all the glitzy hell of a kid's birthday party explodes out on stage to rip apart class, challenge traditional feminine behaviour and explore the impact of mental illness on family. Telling stories from Heffernan's time as a Party Fairy, and featuring five original rock songs – don't miss this intimate, funny and deeply moving work. Winner: 2023 Adelaide Fringe Weekly Award for Best Theatre / Physical Theatre.

So thankful we booked this finale show after our week at Fringe- so moving, such a great performance and songs and reminder that living alongside mental health takes strength and is not invisible but achievable

Fantastic performance!
At times funny, at times sad, and great music. A very versatile performer. I was totally engaged in Sprinkles story. Highly recommend.

A really special show - one of my Fringe favourites this year. Beautiful writing and performance. Funny, heartbreaking, moving, heartfelt. Lucy achieved so much in this hour and I can’t stop thinking about her story.

Lots of audience tears in Party Girl. This one woman show will resonate with anyone who puts on a strong/hard exterior and who has been a caretaker for a loved one, but in reality they’re broken inside and it’s the caree that ultimately heals them.

I looooove how her mind works. I couldn’t look away the whole show. Take your friends- we all sang along at the end.

Wild, wacky, and wonderful. A true hidden delight that will make you laugh!

Wonderful. A funny, dark and gritty show that captivated us. Quirky and insightful, lurching from gleeful humour to dark observations of tough times. The contrast of the perfect fairy tale and the realities of life with a challenging mother and day to day struggle is wonderfully played. Combined with love songs and guitar and plenty of audience participation, I was captivated. Take a punt - this is good stuff.

Wow. We were captivated from the very first word. A powerful performance, sometimes funny, sometimes hard to swallow, sometimes heart wrenching, full of soul and Cher.
