Otter Lee: Princess Syndrome

Comedy (lgbtq+, musical comedy)

  • Babes in arms policy: Babies do not require a ticket
  • Policy applies to: Children under 1 year

Description

At four, Otter was so moved by Princess Diana's death that he wept outside the palace while his father took pictures and laughed. Trapped in a vortex of man-children, Otter still feels broken. Through a sassy mix of stand-up, storytelling and musical comedy, Otter learns to make peace with racism in the gay community and love himself. Like all good fairytales, Otter's story contains a difficult childhood, a wicked stepmother, an animal sidekick and emotional singing! Disney stans will recognize parodies of The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules and Frozen, but with more foreplay.

Fantastic show, great audience interaction and honestly delivered bit of well written standup.

High-energy show, the humour's sometimes dark, sometimes dirty, always punchy and delivered with the grace of an English Rose. Otter tells a story that's relatable without pandering to anyone, candid about trauma and toxic relationships. Also, I'm fairly certain no one else has ever put that many references to oral sex to the melody of a Disney song. What I'm saying is, you should check this out.

A really excellent set full of sharp jokes and fun parody song!
Well-paced, self aware, and (most importantly) very funny.
Go see it!!

Lee receives a standing ovation, which is agreeable after consistently solid material for an hour, as well as recalling lyrics to a song about anal to the tune of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin.
