Description
Hear our innovative piano orchestra perform finger-gymnastics music for three pianists playing one piano together. 'Artistic Director Matthew Shiel shone' (ThisWeekCulture.com). Orchestre á Six Mains is a unique and creative piano ensemble which celebrates the rarely performed music for one piano, six hands – or three pianists at one piano – creating the powerful impression of a piano orchestra. Tonight’s programme includes a Romance by Rachmaninoff, an African boat-song by Percy Grainger, a medley of Scottish folk songs and a special performance of Sousa’s all-American Stars and Stripes Forever. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted.
