It was probably the weakest performance I ever paid for! A capella can shine through music simplification, synchronization, and timing. Even weak voices can make a powerful impact when they are in harmony. Within the first few seconds, you knew that nothing like that was coming. Voices and dancing in chaos, like in an early rehearsal of a high-school performance where it is unclear where the show should be going. There was no artistic concept whatsoever. The only goal seemingly was to allow every performer to do a solo, no matter whether they had any voice or could hold a tune. The audience was completely left out of the equation. The young performers are likely hardly to blame, but rather someone who supervises them, providing no artistic guidance whatsoever. The only positive in the show was the lead singer, who sometimes managed to shine through all the chaos.

I normally wouldn’t see an a capella show, but the performers are wonderful, and the choreography is fab - I work in dance, so I’m picky! Really really great show.

It’s exciting, it’s fun, it’s professional! Definitely go see it tonight as it’s the last night that you’ll have the chance to. Very enjoyable for all involved, a must-see show!

Such a fun show! This is pure EdFringe excellence - a feel-good hour with talented singers serving up hit after hit. ‘Grenade’ was a definite stand-out moment, but to be honest the whole show was stand-out. See it tonight - it’s your last chance this year !
