Description

Who's your go to? Your ride or die? Your best friend? Your mum? Not David. His is the late Queen Elizabeth II, obviously. Listening to Lizzie has always kept David safe. Until now. Having tasted the sweet nectar of queer life, David stands at a crossroads. In the face of a brutal break-up, David is forced to question a lifetime's advice to never be 'too much, too obvious, too different'. Will David follow his inner voice or heed the guidance of his royal confidant? Only one Queen can prevail.

Emotive, hilarious, poignant, fiercely talented - about love, life, loss, and embracing who we are. Loved it.

Everyone has their own unique coming out story.

David shares his journey, revealing his most vulnerable moments—it’s raw, real, funny, and brilliant—full of highs, lows, and joys, from childhood to his crushing breakup and eventual growth. I could relate to many of David’s fears and his attempts to be accepted. He brings to life the many people who were part of his arrival at self-acceptance.
Get ready for an engaging hour of great storytelling in an intimate space.
What the fringe is really about.

Every year I've been to the fringe there's always that one show that reaffirms to me why the fringe is such an incredible and special event, and this show was that. David is so captivating, in this immersive show. I laughed, I cried - it was simply amazing.

Absolutely gorgeous show- so so so well done!!! All the show elements blended together perfectly to truly let me immerse myself in his world. It was one of the first shows I’ve seen at the fringe that I truly was able to get lost in (in a good way!)!!! Amazing from start to finish. Cannot say enough good things about this show! A MUST see!

A wonderful one man show written by David about a young man coming to terms with his sexuality. Both heartwarming and funny, it pulls at the heartstrings while making you laugh at the same time. Terrific stuff, worth seeing.

I highly recommend this show from a talented young man. Emotionally raw peppered with laugh out loud comedy, you will be taken on a roller coaster ride, overseen by a very regal commentator.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one man show. At times heart wrenching and at others laugh out loud. David put a phenomenal amount of emotional energy into it. We wonder how he can do it every day! Highly recommend.

This show was phenomenal! Beautiful and moving exploration of coming out and figuring out who you are, but also so many laugh out loud moments. Should be compulsory viewing for parents of queer kids.

This show is a demonstration of storytelling done right. A funny and moving depiction of love amongst heartbreak – the love of others, but more importantly, love for oneself. The audience cannot ask for more.
