Description

Come and join Turnip Fish Theatre Company in their Edinburgh Fringe debut! A story about the unlikely friendship of next-door neighbours, Agatha and Cassandra. My Pretties is a charming exploration of magic, trolls, and the ever changing label of 'witch' in today's society. Join Aggie and Cass on their smoothie-based business venture – it promises to be a delicious blend of loathing and revulsion, garnished with a riotous dollop of feminine revenge.

My Pretties had me rolling in laughter from the witty writing and cleverly crafted characters, to the sudden plot twists and musical numbers. Each of these talented performers is perfectly cast and highly capable of delivering a much-needed night of pure entertainment.

I was laughing from start to finish. This show was an absolute delight to watch. The energy from all the cast was electric (some might say wicked!) and I had such a fun time watching the magic unfold. The writing is cleverly witty and I wish I had time to watch it again!

Everything everyone says is true and more! You don't want to miss this magical farce with a whiff of feminism in their cauldron. They sure have been cooking, all is written, devised and performed by these amazingly talented artists. It's funny, it's cute, it's just everything you want and need from a Fringe show!!

[*edit: we've been here 4 days and are on our way home. This was THE best thing we saw at Fringe this year. *****]

My Pretties - Fabulous! Brilliant writing (like, properly brilliant) and beautifully acted. Hilarious while making a point. The whole audience was in fits of laughter (one woman laughed so much she fell off her chair) and they applauded throughout. How can you get dancing, singing, magic and comedy successfully into a one hour show and make it seamless? I have no idea, but TurnipFish Theatre have done it with My Pretties
Ahh you just gotta see it - best thing at the Fringe so far!

If you only catch one show at the Fringe, make it My Pretties — what an absolute gem! With clever writing, stellar performances and surprising characters, this 50-minute whirlwind had the entire audience in tears of laughter. I've never experienced an entire room losing it in perfect harmony before, and honestly, it was beyond glorious. I'm hooked and can't resist going back for another dose!

Met one of the cast in the Sips bar and she handed me a leaflet. So we popped along to support. Such a bonkers show. Made me laugh out loud for the entirety. Well done guys. Would definitely recommend it. Good luck with the run.
