Description
A sexy story filled with drama and comedy, love and lust. Jean’s mom liked her new boyfriend and was disappointed when the two broke up. As close as she is to her mother, Jean can’t bring herself to explain the reason: She’d have to reveal that she’s a very kinky girl. She explores the early childhood hints that she was wired differently and shares her bumpy, awkwardly arousing journey towards self-acceptance. Ultimately, mama gets an earful. Honest, Touching, Funny!!!
Jean is an incredible performer and at times I had to remind myself the show was a deeply personal story, not fiction!
The narrative is powerful and empowering to dig deep into myself to uncover what my mother didn’t know how to teach me about: desire, boundaries and pleasure!
Thank you

Jean's performance in "My Mother Doesn't Know I'm Kinky" left me feeling profoundly connected—not just to the material but to Jean herself as both a writer and actress. She masterfully captures the intricate layers of a woman's inner world, delivering a story that is as revealing as it is relatable. Her ability to invite the audience into the complexities of female sexuality is nothing short of remarkable. Jean offers an authentic glimpse into the mind of a woman on a journey of self-discovery that transcends any single perspective. This show will resonate deeply with anyone interested in understanding the depths of human desire and identity. Jean's honesty, humor, and vulnerability create a compelling narrative that speaks to all who are curious about the rich tapestry of female sexuality.

Jean tells the story of her awakening sexuality with such honesty, humor and curiosity. Simply staged, the strategic use of one chair, music and sound effects beautifully accompanied the storytelling so we felt a part of the journey. Thank you for taking us on this erotic ride. It was entertaining, enlightening, educational and titillating!

From the delivery to the content, this show can work for such a wide audience. It’s not just for people intrigued by the subject matter— it will captivate anyone ready to explore and take a peek into a woman— or person’s — journey from curiosity to experience and a more open sense of self.

Jean has done what every storyteller wants to do...she tells you a story that is kind, honest, thoughtful, and funny without making you feel like she's actually telling you a story. You feel like you've just sat down for a beer with one of your close friends. I was truly impressed with this show and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see a storytelling pro in action.

Intense, honest, personal, and brilliantly acted one-woman play about one woman's journey to finding herself through kink. Five stars.

Jean is a beautiful and engaging storyteller! She bares the most intimate parts of her life in an incredibly accessible and relatable way. This show is for anyone who can relate to learning life's lessons no matter whether they are difficult, fun, scarring, funny, kinky or otherwise!

A very catchy title: MY MOTHER DOESN'T KNOW I'M KINKY is a show of Jeans unbound journeys of Kink and Kin that truly delivers. In a welcoming and comfortable space, Jean guides us on a fun and educational journey through her world of BDSM, revealing insights that many might not know. She’s a masterful storyteller, and as she shares her experiences we’re invited to explore the complexities of embracing our own sexuality—a vital message in a culture often clouded by sexual pessimism. This is powerful theater that delves into themes of kink and connection, leaving you thinking... feeling...and eager for more.

Really brilliant show. Very funny and candid, it opened up a whole new world to me I hardly knew existed.
One of the best productions I have seen this year at the Fringe.

Jean Franzblau takes us on a candid and highly entertaining journey of discovery. Her unexpected penchant for kink, always simmering below the surface, draws her (and her audience) to explore both the Sub and Dom aspects of kink life, and we gleefully enjoy the ride as she leads us (by the collar) in and out of cleaning fetishism (complete with adroitly sprinkled crumbs!) clubs and cages. She’s supremely likeable, very sexy and inspiringly adventurous. And the spectre of mom’s possible judgment? Well, no spoilers here - go see for yourself!

This is a user friendly journey to fully embrace yourself as a uniquely kinky person. Jean takes us by the hand and we skip through her memory and early tinges of the kink variable. She's charming, funny, touching and triumphant mommy knows.
