A friend suggested I catch this show, and I am so glad we did. Raw, comic, meaningful and so, so funny. Julia put herself out there, and let us in. I didn't expect to laugh so much at a memorial service.

Please go and see this show. Comedy perfection. Brilliant skill, timing and truth. My first show at the fringe this year and my goodness what a start! If you like absurd, meta, top of the top clowning this is the show to see!!! Thank you so much Julia you are brill!

After contemplating a number of shows, but having met Julia on the Royal Mile and taking one of her flyers, I saw that she is also a clown, and I just love those so I chose her show, I have to say with a touch of trepidation… I feel so blessed that I got to see this, it was utterly engaging, at times completely hilarious and fully entertaining at every moment. Make time to see this show you will not be disappointed!

Julia really could be quite a good actress...(she has the pedigree but needs an agent - even a Mr Bean would help). That apart, I never knew that memorial services could be such fun! Recommended!

Julia is a powerful, versatile, and virtuosic performer, and her show is a beautiful, fun mess of a journey. You are never prepared for what happens next. Julia masterfully navigates the awkwardness and intimacy of the space and the material, making you laugh for many reasons. If you’re lucky, you might feed a horse.

A unique theatrical experience! We met Julia when she was handing out leaflets about her show in character, complete with her horse. As above, there is some audience participation - look at the sheet handed out to attendees. You never knew what was going to happen next!

"had the audience in hysterics… Exceptional clowning… one of those stand out shows that you keep thinking about long after the fringe is over. It's a show that shouldn't be missed!"

Sly, silly and absolutely hilarious, My Grandmother’s Eyepatch is the funniest show about grief I’ve ever seen.
