Description

The (drag) king of comedy is back. And yes, he's got a podcast. The hilarious and terrifying alter-ego of feminist comedian Kate Smurthwaite unzips the trousers of truth and lays it on the table.

Very clever, abrasive but in the best way. I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic show! A cleverly-crafted satire act, offering witty commentary on gender and social norms, digging particular fun at hyper-masculine stereotypes. Dressed in drag, Kate embodies the character "Milo Standards" - an ironic over-the-top hyper-masculine archetype, who comments on gender norms and dating, all the while being delightfully oblivious to how ridiculous he sounds. The audience was in stitches from start to finish. It's such an excellent example of blending social commentary with comedy ❤️ Highly recommend!

Really great concept and very funny show. Having seen a number of Kate's shows it was good to see her perform in a totally different way. Be interested to see the show again post Edinburgh and see how it grows. Would recommend you go see the show.

Very different to Kate's previous shows but in a good way. Character felt spot on - had the audience gasping and laughing in equal measures. Not for the easily offended but those who aren't are sure to enjoy

Kate's recent shows have been stories, where she takes the audience on a journey. They've been political, and funny in a 'laugh with' way, and great. This year's show is a character piece, where the character is an alt-right sexist. It's a 'laugh at' show.. but there are not that many laughs and almost no emotional or character variation for 49 of the 50 minutes. What has worked in three or four minute clips doesn't work as a full 'solo' show. Sorry, but it's a miss this year.
