Description

Ali is living the rainbow family dream – but something is missing. It's a need her wife doesn’t understand, a sexual fantasy suppressed her whole life. Now, suburban swinging, latex and literary eroticism collide, sending her on a hilarious quest to fulfil her darkest desires. A powerhouse solo performance by Australian theatre luminary Jennifer Vuletic, in a darkly hilarious play by Jane Montgomery Griffiths. A story for anyone who wonders if not now, when? 'Writing is clever, cutting and poignant' ***** (TheatreMatters.com.au). 'Brilliant and thought-provoking' ***** (DarkStoriesTheatre.com.au). 'Vuletic is magnetic' **** (Age, Melbourne).

A delightful storyteller bravely conveying a beautiful experience regarding kink and subbing. Lighting and timing are on point and overall well worth coming to the show, particularly if you have any experience yourself. Highly recommended!

Move over 50 Shades of Grey, Make way for the rainbow and a grown up’s look at love and sexuality. Jen does a stupendous job of delivering Jane’s superb script exploring our ability to be bold and brave and to bring to life our sexual fantasies.

What a brilliant performance. This may be the best one-woman show I’ve ever seen. Jennifer Vuletic performs this beautiful script with such vulnerability and candidness that the 50 minutes seemed to slip away in the blink of an eye.
An incredibly captivating, tender and joyous show that you should not miss while you’re here!

Jane Montgomery Griffiths offers a look behind the curtains into the world of BDSM as a way to feel when a lovely long marriage and partnership, together with safe sensible jobs, lose their sexual sparkle. Actor Jennifer Vuletic makes it her own in a wonderfully open accessible fast paced joyful piece of storytelling. As Dark Stories review said, it is a love letter to kink which we all as an audience relished.

Wholeheartedly recommend this show. A vulnerable portrayal of the discomfort and shame we feel in exploring our own desires, and the urgency to do so that comes along with aging. Raw and relatable. You will leave this show with an itch to know yourself more intimately and to allow yourself the space to try something new.

Genuine, intense, honest and deeply personal one-woman play about a middle-aged married lesbian who finds meaning and flavor in life by becoming involved in BDSM. Five stars.

***** Such a fantastic show - beautifully written and brilliantly acted - that I easily could see becoming the next breakout TV series. I actually learnt about BDSM which is impressive considering I spend a lot of the day on Grindr!

Where to even begin on such a brilliant show. This may be the best theatre I have seen in a long time and I see theatre. Vuletic draws you in with her storytelling and yummy words and paints a picture of this story with little to no set. She quite literally bears all unabashedly and boldly while keep us captivated with every last word. If I could redo the experience of watching this again for the first time, I would. Just superb. WOW. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Please see this show.

Wow. This was a pleasant surprise wasn’t it. An Enthralling, bold and colourful performance. This is one of the best shows I’ve seen at the Fringe and it came packed with a punch. The storytelling was marvelous and the content very relatable! Don’t miss it!

A hidden gem of a show. Jennifer Vuletic is a confident performer, and you feel safe in her hands. She delivers a great performance—believable and relatable. The show itself is funny, touching, and poignant. A love letter to kink.

A seamless 50 minute monologue with delicious use of language and fantastically well performed. You won’t be getting shifty bottom waiting for the end of this, you’ll be on the edge of your seat enjoying and consuming every mouthful

The presentation of the passion, submission and safety in a D/s relationship is so powerfully portrayed but with honesty around all the doubts and hesitations that come with recognising you’ve found something that delights but at the edge of your comfort zone.

A play for those who’ve ever experienced submission to nod in agreement,
smile and encourage but equally for those open to a delicious glimpse into a new world which intrigues.

Wow wow wow! This was no mere one-women monologue; this was a solid 50 minutes where we, as the audience, were transported to a new place, new time, and new world of experiences Powerful and strange but also empowering and genuinely funny; Narrative structure and alluring analogies were beautifully buddied with impeccable inflection and visceral voice control (seriously, this was an incredible performance). It is not often in the Fringe we get to see a show which is perfection in both its story and in its execution. In a word: Bravo!

This show knocked my socks off. I can't stop telling people about it. The combination of tour de force acting, brilliant writing and skillful directing left me breathless. I'm told that the best Fringe show leaves the audience wanting more. That's exactly how I felt. More please!

Jennifer Vuletic gives a tour de force solo performance of the highest quality. Her ability to hold the audience and take you from a comedy moment into Kinky mastery is fascinating and nothing short of brilliant. Do not miss this show!

I sat enthralled the entire time - not what I was expecting, but that was not a bad thing at all! The actress so embodied the words that she spoke that I spent most of the show believing that she must have written it herself as well, she brought it so to life. A fascinating and captivating insight into a part of kink lesser talked about - the Reset Button qualities so to speak. A fabulous, expertly woven story with some nice, understated props and costume changes - a refreshing piece of theatre.

A funny, thought provoking, beautiful piece looking at getting older and giving space for our desires to feel alive again. Rid yourself of your preconceptions of the kink community and learn the beautifully accepting and compassionate truth to it. A joyous and tender performance - go see it!
