Fantastic show - would 100% recomend. The audience participation and the improvisation means you could watch again and again and get a new experience each time. Definitely one to go see!

Mind-blowing! We saw him last year and had to come back to see him again this year, even with thousand of other shows we could have seen instead. So worth it! Bravo!

Genius stuff from Mr Hammersmith. Energetic and clever, non-stop fun. Brought two friends to their first ever Fringe show and they were blown away. This man should be famous.

World class improv, not to be missed, this is a show that in a lesser mortal’s hand could easily bomb but MC Hammersmith is an improv genius and possibly the bravest fringe performer in Edinburgh since he puts the whole show in the hands of his audience.

It’s hilarious, energetic and unlike anything else.

My absolute favourite performance of the Fringe this year. MC Hammersmith delivers incredibly skilful on-the-spot raps made using audience prompts, it's a must-see. 5/5 stars.

Foringe: Fringe for foreigners - non-British culture 29 days ago

MC Hammersmith has been a favourite of mine for some time.

There are many rehearsed and polished shows at Fringe, which are great to watch. However, the fact that he can freestyle rap on an ad-hoc basis is unbelievable.

Great audience interaction, where we could submit words and situations for him to rap/undertake.

Not specifically British culture - suitable for those who don't live in the UK and who do not have English as their native language (although some of the rapping is fast)

MC Hammersmith is a must-see act at the Fringe. His clever wordplay and rhyming never cease to disappoint.

His posh middle-class persona is iconic and hilarious. This rapper says: "I've never smoked crack, but I have smoked... salmon". OMG that one cracked me up.

I'm always amazed at how many fun references he incorporates into his raps. He's so well read, and draws connections between topics so quickly and cleverly. It's smart comedy.

The whole hour is full of improvised rap. He keeps the pacing fresh and fun, bouncing between different types of prompts - from making up rhymes using suggested words from the audience, to a delightful rap based on a spontaneous audience interview, to achieving audience-assigned tasks while rapping about them at the same time. He does not shy away from giving himself a challenge. And boy does he rise to the challenge. Every darned time!

Straight up legend! Book your tickets now, because this show regularly sells out. i know because last year I waited too long, and then I had to line up an hour in advance to get one of the last minute seats (which you can do too, after it sells out). This year, I bought tickets in advance. Don't miss a chance to catch this act at the fringe. He will blow your mind!

Such a fantastic show, this man needs a bigger venue as he is beyond talented when it comes to improv rapping! So funny and a must at the Fringe

This is a show not to be missed!!!
Laughed from start to finish.
Doesn't look like he could/should rap but is a genius at getting very difficult words into the raps!

Dude is a Jedi. What else is there to say. Mind blown multiple times. And also seems like a very nice guy, incidentally.

Rowan Cannon 40 days ago

Non-stop sublime tongue-twistery from an engaging, self-depracating host with a concerningly quick mind and a knack for an unexpected rhyme.

This was an hour well spent, and I’m sure before long the Sold Out signs will be appearing on the venue doors. Don’t miss out.
