Mark Simmons Fringe Show is a masterclass of comedy. From the very moment you arrive at his gig, you are made to feel welcome and invited (as he LITERALLY welcomes all the guests himself!) Mark is captivating with razor sharp wit and is endlessly endearing.
One-liners are his thing, and the material is refreshingly original, with clever twists that catch you off guard and leave you marveling at his creativity.
This show is different from last years show / his touring “Quip off the Mark” show as it acts as a sounding board where Mark is perfecting his craft. I absolutely loved this as it gives a peek into the genius of his mind!
By far my favourite element of Mark’s show is the audience interaction. He engages in a way that makes audience members happy and comfortable to participate - like a shared joke amongst friends and easily dispels the fears of “oh god I better not sit too close or I’ll get picked on”.
The first time I attended one of his shows was in 2022 and my sleeping baby decided to coo right after Mark asked “what’s the worst heckle you’ve ever had, and I said…” *coo!*
Mark’s lightening fast response “That!” demonstrates not only his quick wit but also how adaptable and friendly he is!
Mark Simmons is a true comedic gem, and his Fringe show is an absolute must-see. If you're looking for non-stop laughter, brilliant wordplay, and genuine comedic genius, this is the show to catch. Make sure you arrive with plenty of time to join the queue as seats are quickly filled!
Exceptional comedy - and a favourite every year!

Let’s be clear on this, Mark Simmons is a banker, and I don’t mean that in rhyming slang kind of way, I mean that in, ‘top LOLs guaranteed’ kind of way.
I’ve seen Mark at the Fringe many times, I even ended up in one of his Pun Game Shows a few years ago, and he delivered every time. Even his online clips make me laugh out loud, I’m surprised I haven’t been thrown off the bus/train/pavement.
If you’re trying different things at the fringe, sat though some tatty show about the performers journey through the grief of loss of their favour hat or somesuch, then go see Mark, guaranteed laughs, his boyish charm will win you over, his zippy one liners will floor you.
Hes like a rechargeable battery, he’ll give you a lift, a skip in your step, then you can toddle off to whatever heavy going play about stamp collecting in Cold War Russia you’re off to next.
Definitely see him, definitely give his socials a follow. A big tall pick me up

This is a must see show for me at the Fringe. Fabulous set of one-liners, delivered in a relaxed, laid-back style that almost certainly belies the work that has gone into crafting them! Catch it if you can!

I've followed Mark for a while through social media (not in a stalking sense) and had always intended on seeing him live.
Unfortunately, his shows always sell out quickly.
Having booked to be in Edinburgh whilst the Fringe was on, quite accidentally - I was delighted to see he was scheduled to perform.
I managed to pop and see him on Sunday and was delighted that his show was equally as hilarious as his brief Facebook quips.
You can see he is a polished performer and is going to guarantee laughs, even if the joke doesn't necessarily drop, whilst he trials new material.
His professional awkwardness is apparent and it's a great routine.
Definitely worth the trip, definitely worth the suggested donation and definitely worth reading to the end of this long review.
Cheers Mark!

Non-stop laughs at this show from a master of his craft who not only delivers a relentless barrage of hilarious jokes but also allows the audience a peek behind the curtain by dismantling some of the work that goes into them. Fascinating and brilliant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mark is quick, witty and charming. even when he is 'trying out' jokes on the audience, they never fail. will certainly try and catch him on his current tour.

Absolutely hilarious. Brilliant delivery and superb material. Mark’s delivery style suggests he’s almost embarrassed to be on stage, but don’t let that fool you. He’s a master of his craft. An hour of hilarious, original material. Brilliant engagement with the audience and extremely quick thinker. Highly recommended.
