Description
America is on fire and Maggie Chavez wants to vent about it. Columbia, the Gem of the Ocean doesn't shine like she used to. With reproductive rights suspended, transgressive laws popping up, guns everywhere, and a tyrannical former president poised to win re-election things are not great for the world's most precarious democracy. Part political analysis, part history lesson, part trivia game (with prizes!), Letters from America is a hilarious dissection of the current American condition and serves as an unsolicited update to our cousins in the UK and beyond. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Probably not much fun if you are a Republican or really, really like guns, but a pleasant way to pass an hour and gain an insight into a different USA, one that might exist again, if you are not. Chavez has a lovely singing voice, too.
