Description

'Who is this who is coming?' When the rational and skeptical scholar Professor Parkins takes a trip from home, he stumbles upon a mysterious whistle. Unaware of the eerie history attached to this seemingly innocuous object, Parkins blows the whistle, setting off a chain of unsettling events where the boundaries between reality and the supernatural blur. Whistle, and I'll Come to You is a quintessential ghost story, brought to you in a brand-new adaptation for the stage, that challenges the borders between fictional worlds, our own imagination and reality.

A great adaption of a classic story, delivered by 2 very talented actors. This company has a number of shows at this years fringe and all will be worthy of a ticket.

The ghost stories of M. R. James can leave the reader feeling unsettled, even in the daylight hours. This adaptation conveys this perfectly.

Love the Victorian ghost stories of M.R. James and this excellent interpretation of what is probably his most famous tale does not disappoint. Excellent performances from the two cast members combined with effective lighting and sound work. Recommended.

Gripping, with such simple sets, a few scary noises; frightening and so entertaining. second show we've seen from this company. Hope to see many more in the future

This was the second show we saw by this company, the first being the hanged man’s bride. Both were excellently acted and the storytelling kept us gripped. We would definately recommend this show!

Had never seen or read this but heard a lot about it so was delighted to see it on the schedule! Wonderfully atmospheric, hard to create in a small room with 2 actors, some great lighting choices and sound effects. Really enjoyed, would recommend!

A simple yet beautiful adaptation that I personally found more haunting then the original short story.

I’m a big fan of M R James so was very excited to see an adaptation at the fringe and wasn’t disappointed. Excellent script, well acted, a real gem not to be missed.

This is a simple, but atmospheric, adaptation that channels the spirit of the great horror radio plays of the past. A perfect pick for anyone looking for a bit of old fashioned, gothic creepiness.
